Excursion Description:
A one-day workshop is available for beginning band players to receive intensive instruction while rehearsing in a large ensemble.
Students who are in their first year of learning are invited to attend a workshop with the beginner Instrumental Music students from Coolnwynpin SS, Vienna Woods SS and Hilliard SS.
Location Address:
The Hall, Coolnwynpin SS, Callaghan Way, Capalaba.
Transport:
Parents to drop students at the venue and then collect at the end of the day.
Departure Time:
Parents are to sign students in at the Coolnwynpin SS hall from 8.45am.
ARRIVAL TIME:
Parents are to sign their child out from 2.15pm.

Activity Risk Management Strategies:
Students will be supervised by Redlands Instrumental Music teachers throughout all activities.
Dress Code:
Formal school uniform. (Also bring a hat).

FOOD:
Students need to bring their own morning tea, lunch and a bottle of water as tuckshop facilities won't be available.
WHAT TO BRING:
Hat, Instrument, music stand, tutor book, 2B pencil, eraser, spare reeds/oil as required. Talk to your instrumental teacher if you have difficulty providing any of the above items as they may be able to help you find a solution.
Please CLEARLY label ALL belongings WITH STUDENT’S NAME AND SCHOOL.
SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS:
Information regarding any additional arrangements that need to be made to accommodate your child's involvement at the workshop (e.g. wheel chair access, medical action plans etc) will need to be indicated on the registration survey.
Medication to be administered during the workshop must be handed to the staff member in charge of medication at the beginning of the workshop with an accompanying note that states the correct dosage and time. Please note: Medication cannot be given to a student without a doctor’s letter and/or pharmacy label on the bottle or packet with the correct dosage written on the label.
